Terms and Conditions (T&Cs).

The following T&Cs apply to all bookings confirmed through offline or online entries that is Online Travel Agents (OTAs), Walk-ins, Telephone bookings, AVH website and email bookings. We kindly ask that you take a moment to read through prior to confirming a ”Booking(s)”.

In these terms and Conditions the following definitions apply:

‘’Company’’ or ‘’we’’ means Airport View Hotel (Uganda) (Company No. 132997) whose registered office is Plot 34 Kiwafu Close Entebbe trading under Gabas Investments Limited.
The Company enters into this Agreement as principal for ”Bookings” reserved at Airport View Hotel (AVH) and as an agent where and when any confirmed Booking is up-held by the hotel which operates on behalf of the Hotel Owner. The Booking Confirmation will clearly state the identity of the Owner and his premises.

‘’Booking’’ means a reservation confirmed for any Services or Facilities offered that is for example accommodation, conference or gardens hire for events or functions and/or any other services offered by AVH.

‘’Contract’’ means a confirmed ”Booking(s)” or any other terms and conditions stated that apply to the Booking.

‘’Hotel’’ means the Company premises for which your Booking is made.

‘’Terms’’ means the terms and Conditions.

‘’Websites’’ means or any other website owned or operated by us relating to a Hotel from time to time.

‘’VAT’’ means Value Added Tax.

2. Bookings.
All Bookings at the Hotel are subject to the following Terms:
Upon One’s check-in at AVH, we will take your credit/debit card details and require you to provide us with a Valid ID which authorizes AVH to use of this card for any amount that becomes payable to us in event(s) the T&Cs are evoked. We shall also have the right to require full payment in advance or a deposit is made at the time of the booking in certain circumstances that is more than one night is booked against or if the Booking includes the supply of certain items or services that will need prior/ advance reservation to book-out said date(s).

3. Charges
The room rate plans (quoted price(s)) displayed on the Website ( are Standard/ Rack rates per night per person subject to governing taxes (Value Added Tax) at the current prevailing rates. Room rate plan are subject to change without prior notice and your rate is ONLY guaranteed once you receive your booking confirmation. For avoidance of any doubt on the side of the booker, the room rate plans don’t include any incidental charges one may incur during his/her stay. Such charges will be payable by you upon departure and, in event that you fail to pay any of such incidental charges, it is within this agreed contract with us that you irrevocably authorize us to charge your card or take legal action for the amount indicated in confirmation voucher or incidental charges or shortfall incurred.

The room rate plans quoted are based on the occupancy per room as per request made.

A minimum length of stay, deposit, cancellation charge or any other condition may apply to certain rates, as specified. Once a rate is selected on the website or by email, the total charge will be showcased on the reservation summary. Such rates shall be showcased and latter charged in United States Dollars (USD) and/ or Uganda Shillings (UGX). Other currencies indicated on any online platform for conversion purposes only is provided as an approximation tool only, please refer to the Currency Disclaimer for more details.

Currency Disclaimer:
Please note that the currency conversion tools shown on the website; ( are for comparison purposes only. Hotel bookings will be made in the United States Dollars originally displayed for the relevant hotel and the actual currency conversion rate will vary from time to time. Exchange rates are provided under license from a third party provider with no liability to AVH.

The currency rates used are compiled by the provider from a variety of public sources and are only updated on a daily basis. Any reliance upon the currency rates provided is at your own risk and we accept no responsibility for any adverse consequences.
The VAT Breakdown shown is indicative based on the current rate of VAT, and the expected VAT treatment on such goods and services. VAT shall be payable at the prevailing rate applicable at the tax point of the invoice or Booking confirmation issued, and may change depending on the actual rate and the VAT treatment of the goods and services purchased at that date.

4. Check-in/ Check-out Requirements.
In the interest of security and to prevent fraud, at the time of check-in, guests will be required to confirm their identity by providing their Booking reference with a VALID ID such as a passport/employer’s identity card/ National ID and a valid credit/debit card which will be swiped in the presence of the cardholder. Unless stated otherwise on the booking confirmation, guests may check-in at 13h00 (1pm) or after on the scheduled day of arrival. All rooms that have been secured by credit/debit card or prepaid at the time of booking will be held until 11:00pm on the scheduled day of arrival otherwise agreed directly with the Hotel. Any non-secured reservation will be held until 6:00pm on the scheduled day of arrival at which time we will be entitled to re-let the room or otherwise, unless the guest has notified the Hotel of a late arrival. Rooms are subject to maximum occupancy rules set by the Hotel. If you would like further details please contact the Hotel.

5. Payment.
We accept the following methods of payment:

Cash ((Uganda Shillings (UGX) & United States Dollars (USD)).

Major international Credit and Debit Cards (Visa cards (including debit cards, Visa Delta and Visa Electron American Express, MasterCard, Diners International).

Please confirm at the time of booking to ensure that your preferred payment method is accepted. Payment attracts.

6. Reservation Policy.
One’s Booking is for a specific type of room rate plan in the Hotel doesn’t guarantee that you will be able to stay in a specific room or in the same room for the duration of your stay. If you have indicated your preference for a particular room through a ‘’choose your own room’’ facility, a confirmation will detail specifically in this regard.

7. Damage
We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card in event any damage is incurred in your room or within the Hotel during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave.

8. Hotel Breaks.
Please be aware that at certain times throughout the calendar year, the Hotel may host weddings, events, parties, which you may feel would be an intrusion on your break. Please contact the Hotel directly in advance of your stay to re-allocate you in a room farest from any noise or interference you may incur.

9. Guest Behavior
Guests are to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and to comply with Company procedures and/ or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the Property of the Hotel, its employees and guests and their health and safety. Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of the Hotel, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the Hotel if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case the Hotel shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred, which will be charged to you.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction.
The Laws of Uganda governs the Contract and any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with it.
The Ugandan Courts have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute arising in connection with the Contract, including disputes relating to any non-contractual obligations.
Each party irrevocably waives any objection which it may now or later have to proceedings being brought in the Ugandan Courts.

Cancellation Policy
11.AVH’s Cancellation Policy (No-shows or late cancellation):
Inside 24-hours timeline prior to arrival, any cancellation against any room rate plan or type confirmed will attract a full charge of room rates. Any cancellation outside the 24-hour window, will attract a full refund minus bank charges against any room rate plan or type confirmed.

Under no circumstance will the room type or room rate plan confirmed change within the 24-hour window to avoid any disturbance to any other reservation made.
